THE JOURNEY IN DETAIL

A night passage to a volcano.

A one-way route: from Salerno along the Amalfi coast and Capri, then south past the Cilento and overnight across the Tyrrhenian to Stromboli, whose volcano erupts every 15–20 minutes. We finish at Lipari and Milazzo. This is the club’s first trip with night watches, for those who find day-hopping along the coast is no longer enough.

  • Stromboli by night from the water: fire every twenty minutes
  • Positano and Amalfi from the sea
  • Swimming at the Faraglioni off Capri
  • The mud baths of Vulcano and Lipari’s white pumice
