The classic trek through the Marsyangdi Valley, via Manang and Thorong La to Muktinath. Acclimatisation and a reserve day are included; the local guide decides the final day-to-day plan.

Kathmandu. Arrival
Meet the team, check equipment and finalise the route arrangements.
Overnight: Kathmandu - DAY 2 · Transfer
Kathmandu → Dharapani
Overland transfer to the trailhead, allowing extra time for road conditions.
Overnight: Dharapani - DAY 3 · Trekking
Dharapani → Chame
The first stages along the Marsyangdi Valley.
Overnight: Chame - DAY 4 · Trekking
Chame → Pisang
Gradually gain altitude and discover the high valley.
Overnight: Pisang - DAY 5 · Trekking
Pisang → Manang
Choose the lower or upper route according to readiness and weather.
Overnight: Manang - DAY 6 · Acclimatisation
Manang. Acclimatisation
A short climb higher, returning to the same sleeping altitude.
Overnight: Manang - DAY 7 · Trekking
Manang → Yak Kharka
A moderate stage to the next altitude, monitoring how everyone feels.
Overnight: Yak Kharka - DAY 8 · Trekking
Yak Kharka → Thorong Phedi
Approach the lower camp below the pass.
Overnight: Thorong Phedi - DAY 9 · Reserve
Reserve and acclimatisation
A day for further acclimatisation or adjustments to the plan at the guide's discretion.
Overnight: Thorong Phedi or lower - DAY 10 · High-altitude crossing
Thorong La → Muktinath
Cross the pass early only if the group is ready, then descend to Muktinath.
Overnight: Muktinath - DAY 11 · Descent
Muktinath → Jomsom
Descend into the Kali Gandaki Valley, on foot or by vehicle depending on trail conditions.
Overnight: Jomsom - DAY 12 · Transfer
Jomsom → Pokhara
A long overland transfer with time allowed for road conditions.
Overnight: Pokhara - DAY 13 · Rest / reserve
Pokhara. Recovery
A free day by the lake, also serving as extra travel contingency.
Overnight: Pokhara - DAY 14 · Transfer
Pokhara → Kathmandu
Return to the capital and enjoy a final evening together.
Overnight: Kathmandu - DAY 15 · Departure
Departure
The programme ends with an airport transfer.

Arrive ready for the route.
Multi-day hiking experience and preparation for sustained walking. The pass above 5,000 m requires careful acclimatisation and flexibility to change the route.

What to prepare in advance
- Broken-in trekking footwear and a suitable daypack
- Rain gear, an insulating layer and spare socks
- Poles, if you are used to them
- Personal items within the agreed luggage allowance and suited to the accommodation
