The walking version of the celebrated circuit around Mont Blanc. Nine active days across passes, valleys and three countries, staying in huts and small hotels.

Check boots and packs, attend the briefing and stay overnight before setting off.

Les Houches → Les Contamines
The opening section of the circuit, getting used to the group's pace.
Overnight: Les Contamines - DAY 3 · Trekking
Les Contamines → Les Chapieux
A mountain stage towards Col du Bonhomme.
Overnight: Les Chapieux - DAY 4 · Trekking
Les Chapieux → Val Veny
Cross Col de la Seigne into Italy.
Overnight: Val Veny - DAY 5 · Trekking
Val Veny → Courmayeur
Italian trails and a descent into town.
Overnight: Courmayeur - DAY 6 · Trekking
Courmayeur → Val Ferret
A balcony trail overlooking the massif, with a night in the valley or a hut.
Overnight: Val Ferret - DAY 7 · Trekking
Val Ferret → La Fouly
Cross Grand Col Ferret into Switzerland.
Overnight: La Fouly - DAY 8 · Trekking
La Fouly → Champex-Lac
A gentler day through valley villages towards the lake.

Champex-Lac → Trient
Follow the Bovine route, taking the weather into account.

Trient → Les Houches
The final stage through the Col de Balme area. An agreed transfer may help balance the day's load.

YOUR PREPARATION
Arrive ready for the route.
Readiness for 5–8 hours on the trail over consecutive days. Preparation includes uphill walking, easy running and testing your pack.

What to prepare in advance
- Broken-in trekking footwear and a suitable daypack
- Rain gear, an insulating layer and spare socks
- Poles, if you are used to them
- Personal items within the agreed luggage allowance and suited to the accommodation
