Sardinia & Corsica

THE JOURNEY IN DETAIL

Two islands, a thousand bends.

Sardinia and Corsica sit 50 minutes apart by ferry, yet ride like two different worlds: Sardinia has broad mountain highways such as the SS125 and empty inland plateaus, Corsica narrow granite gorges, the Bavella and Cap Corse. Nine days out of Olbia, warm sea after every stage and never more than 260 km a day.

  • The SS125 Orientale Sarda above the Gulf of Orosei
  • Col de Bavella at 1,218 m and its granite needles
  • Scandola and the Calanques de Piana on the D81
  • The Santa Teresa — Bonifacio ferry with the bikes

YOUR PREPARATION

Arrive ready for the route.

A category A licence and a confident 5,000 km of riding are enough. Corsican roads are narrow, so before the trip Ivan runs through single-track riding and passing oncoming traffic in blind bends with the group.
