Granite peaks straight out of the ocean.
Lofoten is a chain of islands above the Arctic Circle where granite summits rise 500–1,000 m straight from the water, and in June the sun never sets. The trails are short and steep: Reinebringen, Ryten above Kvalvika beach, Munkebu. A camp about vertical gain, the polar day and running at any hour — including a night long run under a low sun.
- Reinebringen (448 m) up the Sherpa steps above Reine
- Ryten (543 m) and the descent to Kvalvika beach
- A night long run under the midnight sun
- The Munkebu hut and the lakes above Sørvågen
